ADHESIVE FOR SOLID WOOD FLOOR

SikaBond®-T55

Description: SikaBond-T55 is a one-component, low-VOC, permanently elastic, super strong polyurethane adhesive for full surface bonding of wood flooring.

Where to Use: SikaBond-T55 may be used for solid and engineered wood floors (strips, longstrips, planks, panels, boards) mosaic parquet, industrial parquet, wood paving (residential) as well as chip boards can be bonded.

SikaBond®-T21

Description: SikaBond-T21 is a one-component, low VOC, permanently elastic, super strong, very low permeability moisture-cure polyurethane adhesive, vapor retarding, crack bridging and sound reduction membrane all-in-one for full surface wood floor bonding.

Where to Use: SikaBond-T21 may be used for solid and engineered wood floors (strips, longstrips, planks, panels, boards), mosaic parquet, industrial parquet, wood paving (residential) as well as chip boards and plywood. Once cured, Sikabond-T21 will generate a super strong bond to a variety of substrates for glue down installations and at the same time form a membrane which reduces moisture vapor transmission from the subfloor and sound reduction membrane.

ADHESIVE FOR ENGINEERED WOOD FLOOR

SikaBond®-T35

Description: SikaBond-T35 is a one-component, low-VOC, moisture cured polyurethane adhesive for full surface bonding of wood flooring. SikaBond-T35 will tenaciously bond wood to most surfaces, including concrete, plywood, and leveling and patch underlayments that have been properly prepared.

Where to Use: SikaBond-T35 may be used to bond all engineered, acrylic impregnated, solid plank flat milled, shorts, cork and parquet hardwood flooring designed and recommended in writing by the hardwood flooring manufacturer for glue-down applications. This adhesive can also be used for many other bonding applications that are common for light commercial and residential applications.

Sika®AcouBond®-System

Description: The Sika AcouBond-System incorporates Direct Bond Technology with acoustic performance. The Sika AcouBond System consists of Sika SilentLayer-03, a 1/8” (3 mm) proprietary specially slotted foam mat, and the SikaBond-T53, a unique permanently elastic, super strong, sound damp- ening adhesive that forms a tenacious bond to wood flooring, plywood subfloors, concrete and other common subfloor materials.

Uses: The Sika AcouBond-System is used to bond structurally sound solid and engineered hardwood in new construction and renovations in residential, office, and industrial buildings as well as sales and show rooms. It is commonly used over in-floor radiant heating and on grade cement and gypsum- based slabs. Field testing demonstrates unmatched sound reductions.

PRIMER AND MOISTURE BARRIER

Sika® Primer MB

Description: Sika® Primer MB is a 2-component, solvent free, low viscosity, epoxy primer for use under wood flooring products and floating floors that require protection from sub-floor moisture.

Where to Use: Sika® Primer MB in conjunction with SikaBond® Wood Floor Adhesives is used as:

  • Moisture regulator:
  • To help control osmotic moisture propagation in cementitious substrates with a moisture content up to 4% CM method (approx. 6% Tramex)
  • Substrate consolidator:
  • On concrete, cement, gypsum screeds and old substrates

SELF LEVELING COMPOUNDS

Sika® Level-125

Durable, cementitious, self-leveling underlayment for use at 1/25 to 1 inch thickness

Description: Sika Level-125 is a one-component, durable and versatile cementitious underlayment for interior concrete and cementitious substrates. It can be applied manually or by pump to produce a self smoothing, rapid-setting, flat and economical substrate prior to the application of a final floor finish. Typical application thickness is 1/25 to 1 inch (1 to 25 mm).

Where to Use: Interior floor leveling and smoothing applications where floor coverings are to follow, such as:
Institutional – schools, colleges, hospitals, clinics, libraries, galleries, museums
Commercial – offices, corridors, hallways, canteens, cafeterias, stores, hotels, restaurants
Residential – domestic properties, condominiums and high rise construction

Very rapid hardening (4 Hrs) and durable, cementitious, self-leveling underlayment for use at 1/25 to 1 inch thickness

Description: Sika Level–315 is a one-component, fast track and versatile cementitious underlayment for interior concrete, cementitious, wood and tiled substrates. It can be applied manually or by pump to produce a self-smoothing, very rapid-setting, flat and economical substrate prior to the application of a final floor finish. Typical application thickness is 1/25 to 1 inch (1 to 25 mm).

Sika® Level-01 Primer

Concrete primer and sealer for use with Sika Level-125 and Sika Level-315.

Description: Sika Level-01 Primer is a one-part, water-dispersed and solvent-free, acrylic-based solution used to prime and seal floor surfaces prior to the application of Sika Level-125 and Sika Level-315 underlayment.

Where to Use: Use as a primer/sealer for absorbent substrates including concrete and cement screeds. Particularly suitable as an adhesion promoter and surface sealer beneath Sika Level-125 and Sika Level-315, enhancing the bond and integrity of the underlayment when applied onto porous substrates.
